Yesterday, before an increase in registration fee -  I mentally weighed my training thus far and concluded that it was time to take the plunge and register for the marathon.   Therefore I committed myself last night by registering online for the SunTrust  National Marathon , in Washington, D.C. on March 26, 2010.   I hope my training and especially my knees keep up! To qualify for the marathon - I used my time for the half-marathon I did in 2009.   On the registration form they also ask what time do I think I will finish the Marathon in.    I really don't know, all I want to do is go the distance.    So - I put in 4 hours and 30 minutes, but who knows - maybe I'll do better.   Here are some of the times I found for 'famous' people which completed a Marathon: Governor Mike Huckabee - (4:38:31)     Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska, Humpy's Marathon 2005...

James M. Hanley of the Holiday City section of Berkeley Twp., died on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at his home. Mr. Hanley was born July 11, 1932 in Jersey City, NJ to the late James Joseph Hanley and Mary Anne Regan. He was the second child, the first being his late sister, Mary Mulligan. He graduated Dickinson High School in 1950 and Seton Hall University. His education was interrupted when he was drafted and served in the United States Army for two years. He married Brigid Sherlock of Sligo, Ireland on January 11, 1958. They had six children. Mr. Hanley worked for Western Electric as a supervisor for twenty-three years. Following, he owned and operated O'Hanly Log Cabin in Budd Lake, NJ. He was then employed by the US Postal Service in Whippany, NJ for eight years. Upon retirement, Mr. Hanley and his wife moved from Whippany to Seaside Heights and then Toms River, NJ where she is currently residing.
